Raspberry, dark chocolate, naricissus, sandalwood, agave syrup in aroma and cup. Sweetly tart with brisk acidity; full, syrupy-smooth mouthfeel. Quiet finish is berry-toned supported by rich chocolate notes."

Named for the abundant orange trees that filled the area in the early nineteenth century, the canton (or county) of Naranjo has long been one of Costa Rica's most vibrant farming centers. These days coffee is the area's best known crop, thanks in no small part to the thousands of member farmers of Coopro Naranjo, producers of this wonderful coffee.
The Cattleya project, a special partnership between Coopro Naranjo and our friends at Royal Coffee New York, provides agronomists to help small family farms achieve peak flavor from their harvests. The resulting sweet, juicy, cocoa-laden flavors of the Cattleya project's coffees command a higher price than average coffees, helping the Cattleya farmers achieve sustainability.
